Renovation work has commenced on the old library building at Katigondo National Major Seminary, marking an important step in the institution’s ongoing commitment to academic and administrative development.
Once completed, the renovated building will serve multiple purposes. The ground floor will accommodate the Seminary’s administration offices and a modern boardroom, providing an improved environment for governance and daily operations. The first floor will house the library and a computer laboratory, creating a more conducive space for study, research, and digital learning.
Significant progress has already been made on the project. The first floor is now largely complete, and the Seminary library has successfully relocated to its new premises. This milestone allows students and staff to begin benefiting from the upgraded facilities even as work continues on the remaining sections of the building.
The renovation reflects the Seminary’s dedication to preserving its heritage while adapting its facilities to meet the evolving needs of priestly formation and higher education in the modern era.
